The Selva is a free-improvisation unit featuring Lisbon based Ricardo Jacinto and Nuno Morão on cello and drums, and Rotterdam based Gonçalo Almeida on double-bass. Formed in 2016 their music explores the instersections between their member´s wide musical spectrums, proposing a synthesis based on a live narrative construction incorporating this multi-idiomatic approaches. Their first album will be out on Clean Feed Records and the concert at Tiefgarage is part of a tour that will take them to Rotterdam, Hamburg, Mulheim, Koln and Antwerpen. For this night at Tiefgarage they invite Koln based cellist Elisabeth Codoux and (…) to extend the ensemble in the second set.
